I think if he stayed in Toronto and everything was built around him, just like how the way things are built around Kobe, he would have had the mindset to be “the man”, to be the go to guy.
Toronto have many opportunity to get him back but they didn’t.

Shows everyone his fire to remain in the league even though everyone had him done as an NBA player when he got traded to Phoenix. Looking back 10 years ago I would have said T-Mac was the better NBA player, but that opinion has now changed, as Vince never gave up on remaining in the NBA and reinventing himself as a basketball player.
Wish he re-signed with TOR and ended his career there, regardless still a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

Wow, that is sad… It’s impossible to score 27ppg while just being a “dunker”. He did that in his third year when he was more raw too. Plus, how can you just be a “dunker” when you have launched over 4 three’s per game over your career while nailing 38% of them…. Sigh…
