Count ‘Em Up: NBA Christmas Day 2019

One of the NBA’s top traditions is the annual slate of blockbuster matchups on Christmas Day. This year hoops fans were treated to an assortment of superstar clashes and potential playoff previews.

There’s no easy way to break down individual stat lines in a way that everybody agrees with, so here are the Newswire’s Top 10 from Christmas Day 2019.

At the top of the list are a pair of young superstars – Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons – that led their squad to a colossal victory over a legitimate title contender.

Joining them in the top 10 are several other key components of significant Christmas Day upsets, like Damion Lee, Brandon Ingram and Derrick Favors.

Of course, Dec. 25 is when the superstars show out, so there’s no shortage of high profile megastars that put in an adequate day’s work under the international spotlight of Christmas Day.
